BV supports Oceans Not Oil Petition
The petition “Barbara Creecy @BarbaraCreecy_ – Minister of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries: Save South Africa’s Coast & Future: Stop the offshore oil & gas exploration application ER236” calls on the minister to stop an offshore oil and gas exploration application, which will establish 6 wells at pioneer depths in the Agulhas current. The risks at this stage in global warming seem to outweigh any economic benefit that may come from this.
