Please join us for the second in a series of many research and conservation talks at ScubaCo supported by the Rufford Foundation this coming Saturday, the 22nd of May 2021, at 5:30pm; ScubaCo Guest House, 32 Harvey Street, Umkomaas.

Marine biologist Michelle Carpenter will enthrall us with really exciting new discoveries she’s been making about devil ray behaviour off our coastline, at Aliwal Shoal. Michelle has studied sharks and rays for the past 5 years for PhD and has some amazing images.

Thereafter, Janet Solomon will present an update on offshore oil and gas developments along the KZN coastline and show the 2018 documentary “Becoming Visible” and handle any Q+A afterwards.
