Becoming Visible Videographer involved in Heroic Sea Rescue

Marc Franz, videographer responsible for the aerial shots above a stranded humpback in the documentary Becoming Visible, has received a NSRI award for bravery. The NSRI Directors Thanks Award was given to Franz, Sage Khowa, Everett Duarte and Jon Caple for their bravery and determination on the early evening of 18th of February 2019, when they went to the aid of three people caught in a rip current at Marina Beach on the KZN South Coast. Two international golfers were rescued and one of the rescuers was assisted from the water, using a Pink Rescue Buoy and a surfboard.
